Going Green

At AmeriPride Tax Group, sustainability is a priority and we are taking steps daily to reduce our carbon footprint, conserve natural resources, and reduce energy usage.

Our focus on green business practices stems from our mission: AmeriPride Tax Group provides protection, peace of mind, and results to Americans faced with tax issues.

Approaching each decision with the goal of providing protection, peace of mind, and results, we found it impossible not to incorporate green practices into every area our business.

In our break room, we encourage employees to bring their own mugs and plates. We provide environmentally friendly glass and paper products as well as wooden stir sticks for coffee in place of the plastic sticks.

Our restrooms have automated paper towel dispensers to reduce waste and our cleaning crews use reusable cleaning towels rather than paper towels with biodegradable cleaning products.

On the business side, we use an efax system and employ a cutting edge document management system that ensures we only print when necessary. Our document archiving system scans documents as they come in from our clients and makes them viewable to professional office staff, a step that eliminates needless copying of documents. In addition, we recycle all of the paper we shred, as well as all cardboard that comes through the office. These steps have helped us to reduce our waste output and carbon footprint significantly.

We recently installed energy saving automatic timers on our heating and cooling systems. These timers shut the system down when the office is unoccupied. This helps the environment by reducing the amount of energy used to maintain the internal climate at AmeriPride Tax Group’s offices. Our employees also to turn off all electronic devices and shut down their computers and printers before leaving the office each day.

Even the choice of our office location was based on our mission of providing protection, peace of mind, and results. We selected the Santa Ana office because of its central location. Nearly 75% of our employees live significantly within 14 miles of the office, which saves them time and money in their daily commute and greatly reduces their carbon footprint.
